I'm also the chief storyteller at the largest cancer support charity in the north-east of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland, CLAN Cancer Support. We help people live with and beyond their or their loved one's cancer diagnosis and improve the quality of life for all those who turn to us for support. CLAN is a shining light of hope for people, and their families, affected by cancer. Over 35 years CLAN’s services have grown significantly to address the psychological and social impact of cancer, including counselling, emotional and wellbeing services aim at reducing stress and pain, across all of north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. CLAN supports over 2,500 people every year across 13 community locations. With over 20,000 people living with cancer across the region, CLAN’s support services are more vital than ever.
